In America the term “movies”
did not mean films but meant the people that made them. Early Hollywood locals
who didn’t like “invading” generally used it with disdain. The first ever film,
which was made in Hollywood, was a film called D.W. Griffiths in the year 1910
in old California.
Twilight movie’s opening weekend
totalled to $69.6 million, which was the biggest opening for a film directed by
a woman and starring a woman. A high
percentage of women, which was 80%, brought a majority of the tickets.
The largest film industry
market is by box office in United states which is my chosen country and also
China and Japan. The united states has one of the oldest film industries with
areas such as Hollywood which is established for its film study facilities such
as the American Film institute, LA film School.
